Autumn Tour with Hugh Cornwell
News date: 25 October 2014

Hello Everyone!

A few words from me before the next round of live dates. The last few months have been very busy with the release of Here She Comes earlier in the year. We have had an amazing spring/summer on the HSC tour and the summer festivals. Thanks to you all for coming along to the shows and for supporting us.

The shows at the end of the month with Sarah and Clare have been sold out for some time now. If you didn't manage to get tickets, you can catch us in Nov/Dec on the double headliner tour with Hugh Cornwell. It promises to be quite a tour, both Hugh and myself will be performing full seperate sets and the Camden Electric Ballroom show on Dec 4 will also feature the legendary John Cooper Clarke as very special guest. I know i'm repeating myself but, don't be "Hanging Around" and miss out, get your tickets soonest as they are selling quickly.

There are some Up Close and Personal dates in Ireland and in France with the lovely Cormac De Barra. One of these is a return date to Edith Piafs old haunt, the Café de Paris in Paris - so who's up for a romantic weekend in Paris? There are a few more Up Close dates to be confirmed, details will be posted soonest on Facebook and the website.

Breaking news of the last few days is the paperback release of Breaking Glass Barefoot this week. It is available direct from Wymer and also from Waterstones and Foyles and hopefully in your local bookshop soon. If your local bookshop hasn't got it in and you aren't keen on buying from the internet, you should be able to order it with the Product Code: ISBN978-1-908724-22-9.

As many of you probably already know, at the end of September, i was hospitalised because my blood pressure was dangerously off the scale. Thank you all for your get well wishes and making me feel so special. It was a very scary time but i am glad to say, that with the help of some great doctors, things are slowly getting back on track.

I have been advised to stay away from salt and thats been a big eye opener, added salt is in nearly every food stuff on the shelves, including chocolate! Thank goodness, i don't add too much extra salt to my plate because there is already far more than is good for us. Stress appears to have been the main trigger so I have been ordered to take things easy and avoid stressful situations. That is so difficult for me as i am always on the go and can't sit still for five minutes. During my "forced" rest, i discovered a great series called Homelands and have become a huge fan. Without giving anything away, its a political/psychological thriller based around the secret missions of a bipolar CIA officer and a marine prisonner of war that got turned to work for the other side; love, hate, twists and intrigue galore - well worth checking out if you have never seen it.

Be safe, looking forward to seeing you all soon,

Love from Hazel x
