Hello Everyone!
Its been such a long time since my last newsletter, i hope that you have all had a great summer?
Its been a busy last few months and, with the rapidly approaching Autumn dates, the next few are looking even more so. The first two dates, which are the only shows in Ireland this year, will be Dublin and Slane with Cormac and Ruairi de Barra. All of the tour dates are at the bottom of the page. Please be aware that Shoreham and Bishops Cleeve are already sold out and a few of the other dates are going that way too, so do get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Summer zipped by with the festivals and the 8 day run of Beyond Breaking Glass in Edinburgh. Fifteen years on since we first show cased the show to five star reviews, Cormac and I were delighted get a five star review this time round too! We had a wonderful time meeting up with friends old and new, and finished off the run by doing a mini gig at an informal after show get together.
Thanks to everyone that came along to the summer shows. Your support is always much appreciated!
In between time, with Sarah and Clare, we have been working on a new album which will be called "TORCH". All the songs are now written and we will be going into the studio to record after the tour. One of the songs is in French, so for the past two weeks i have worked on this song with some of my French pals to perfect my accent. We had so many fits of uncontrolable laughter. I'm in full admiration of their patience with my Franglais!
I also recorded for a Christmas single in aid of VIVA (Vegetarians International Voice for Animals). Many well known stars are contributing their voices to the cause and its all been orchestrated by Debbie Curtis who has worked on the project since last December. Release date and pre - order details will follow soon.
My dogs are all well. There have been many tears, but Jess has rallied round and seems to be much stronger and is comfortable. She's still on steriods to keep her going. It's a day by day thing.
On my travels many of you have asked where you can buy releases from my back catalogue. Due to the increasing number of unofficial sources, particulary of downloads, i have been working with Maureen, who many of you know, to find a solution. We hope to get everything into place in the next couple of weeks and will be sending you another e-mail then. In the mean time you can still use the
HOC Shop, but do not be alarmed at being asked to pay Just Vinyl as this is in fact Maureen selling under her Just Vinyl title on my behalf.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon,
Spread the sunshine!
Love from Hazel x
